PROF. SHEENA LEWIS
Professor Sheena Lewis’ research has been focused on male infertility and in particular sperm DNA damage testing where her goal has been to identify causes of and treatments for male infertility by developing novel biomarkers. Professor Lewis is an executive member of Association of Reproductive and Clinical Scientists, was Chair of the British Andrology Society, national representative for UK and past chair of the Andrology special interest group of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, a member of the executive committee of the British Fertility Society and a founder member and Vice Chair of the Irish Fertility Society. She has published over 100 full papers and book chapters and numerous reviews. She is committed to raising ethical debate, particularly in issues relating to ART, within the medical and scientific undergraduate curriculum. She also has a strong commitment to public engagement with research and regularly communicates her team’s latest research findings through international TV, radio and online interviews. Her research has led to the formation of a University spin out company; Examen Ltd marketing male fertility tests.
PROF. ELIAS DAHDOUH
Dr. Dahdouh has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. He authored the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada 2015 guidelines on Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis and Screening. He is one of the most cited in the field of Preimplantation Genetics in the last 6 years. He also published one systematic review in RBMOnline and one meta-analysis on PGT-A in Fertility & Sterility; the latter key paper was chosen in 2018 and 2021 by the ABOG to be fundamental for recertification in REI.He has been invited as a guest speaker at multiple national and international scientific meetings (including ASRM and ESHRE). In November 2017, he was awarded by the Lebanese Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology for his Outstanding Contribution in International Achievement in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. His research interests include RPL, PGT and Fertility preservation.Prof. Dahdouh is:

DR. NICO GARRIDO
Director of IVI Foundation, and Director of Research Administration at IVI RMA Global, B.Sc. in Biology (University of Valencia) in 1997, followed by a Post-graduate Research Fellowship at the Department of Gynaecology, Heinrich-Heine University, Germany. Doctorate Degree from the University of Valencia in 2001, Extraordinary Prize in 2002, and a Master’s in Research Methodology: Design and Statistics in Health Sciences (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelon)) in 2009, in Science and Innovation Management in 2018 and in Project Management in 2020, (Universidad Politécnica de Valencia). Director of the Andrology Laboratory and Sperm Bank at the IVI University Institute in Valencia from 2000 until 2016, and lead the IVI Teaching Program (2004-2017).
Adjunct Professor at the University of Valencia, heading numerous research projects funded on male infertility, sperm physiology, sperm selection techniques, biomarkers of fertility, and stats to measure ART success. He authored over 350 abstracts, wrote more than 80 chapters, and 160
Section Editor at RBM Online, past Associate Editor for Fertility and Sterility, and Ad Hoc Reviewer in the field, Currently he is also the Coordinator for ESHRE of the Special Interest Group for Andrology.
DR. DENNY SAKKAS
Dr. Denny Sakkas received his undergraduate training at the University of Melbourne, Australia and received his Doctorate of Philosophy at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.
Dr. Sakkas has been the Laboratory Director of IVF units in Switzerland and England and has aided numerous groups in establishing their own IVF units around the world. He has extensive experience in clinical IVF and reproductive research. He is internationally recognized, having organized conferences and workshops on reproduction related topics, and is frequently invited as a speaker at major conferences worldwide. He has published more than 200 manuscripts and chapters in the field of fertilization, early embryo development and male infertility. He serves on the Editorial Board of leading journals and has been extensively funded in his career, He leads a productive research team investigating many aspects of basic and translational reproductive biology.
Dr Sakkas is Chief Scientific Officer at Boston IVF and consults to a number of clinics and startup companies in the area of IVF. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Yale University School of Medicine.
Previous and current positions include; Chief Scientific Officer at Molecular Biometrics Inc.; Associate Professor at the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the Yale University School of Medicine ; Director of Assisted Reproductive Treatment Laboratories of the Yale Fertility Center.
PROF. BART FAUSER
Bart CJM Fauser, MD, PhD, FRCOG, is a gynaecologist, Professor Em. of Reproductive Medicine, former Head of the Department for Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecology and former Chair of the Division of Woman & Baby at the University of Utrecht and the University Medical Center Utrecht, The Netherlands.
He is a Fellow ad Eundum of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RCOG), Honorary member of European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), executive Board member and scientific director of the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS), international member of the (US) National Academy of Medicine, Editor in Chief of Reproductive Biomedicine Online (RBMO), Night in the order of the Netherlands Lion, past member of the board of the Dutch Medical Research Counsel (ZonMW), and past Editor in Chief of Human reproduction Update.
He previously held posts as a Fulbright scholar at the University of California, San Diego; visiting professorships at Stanford University School of Medicine (California, USA), Free University (Brussels, Belgium), University of Siena (Italy), University of Southampton (UK), and the University of Adelaide (Australia). He was a past chair of the World Health Organization (WHO) steering committee for infertility guidelines.
His major research interests include the pathophysiology of human ovarian function (including PCOS, and POI), ovarian stimulation, IVF and women’s health (including contraception, menopause and healthy aging). He has published close to 500 peer-reviewed articles (Hirsch factor > 100), is one of the most cited authors in reproductive medicine and his work has been widely covered in the national and international lay press.
PROF. RICHARD ANDERSON
Richard Anderson has been an Editor for RBMO since 2017. He is Elsie Inglis Professor of Clinical Reproductive Science and the University of Edinburgh and works clinically in Infertility and Reproductive Endocrinology, and provides a specialist endocrinology service to the Edinburgh Gender Identify Clinic. He has interests in both female and male fertility, with a long-standing activity in the development of hormonal male contraception. He has a major interest in fertility preservation and the effects of cancer treatments on fertility, and he has also conducted clinical studies developing our understanding of novel neuropeptides in human reproductive function in men and women. He is past Coordinator of the ESHRE Special Interest Group in Fertility Preservation, and is a member of the ESHRE Executive Committee and the HFEA Scientific and Clinical Advances Advisory Committee.
