PROF. TALYA MIRON-SHATZ
Prof. Miron-Shatz did her post-doc with Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman at Princeton University, and taught at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. She is currently full professor at the Ono Academic College, and visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge.
Her book: ‘Your Life Depends On It: What You Can Do to Make Better Choices about Your Health’ is launching this month (Basic Books, Hachette). It is a must-read for doctors, patients, and health systems.
DR. ANNA SOFIE BACH
Anna Sofie Bach is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Culture and Learning at Aalborg University in Copenhagen, Denmark. She has a PhD in Sociology from the University of Copenhagen. Her work on ovarian tissue freezing is part of the interdisciplinary project Ice Age: Entangled Lives, Times, and Ethics of Fertility Preservation funded by The Independent Research Fund DenmarkPROF GUIDO PENNINGS
He has published extensively on ethical problems associated with medically assisted reproduction and genetics.
- past coordinator of the Special Interest Group on Ethics and Law of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE),
- member of the National Advisory Committee on Bioethics in Belgium
- chair of the Federal Commission on Medical and Scientific Research on Embryos in vitro
- advisor to the World Health Organisation (WHO).
PROF. JACKY BOIVIN
PROF. NICK MACKLON
He has published over 200 peer reviewed papers, has been Associate Editor of Human Reproduction, Human reproduction Update and Reproduction and until recently was a member of the ESHRE Executive Committee. He is currently an Editor of RBMO Online.
PROF. BART FAUSER
He is a Fellow ad Eundum of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RCOG), Honorary member of European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), executive Board member and scientific director of the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS), international member of the (US) National Academy of Medicine, Editor in Chief of Reproductive Biomedicine Online (RBMO), Night in the order of the Netherlands Lion, past member of the board of the Dutch Medical Research Counsel (ZonMW), and past Editor in Chief of Human reproduction Update.
He previously held posts as a Fulbright scholar at the University of California, San Diego; visiting professorships at Stanford University School of Medicine (California, USA), Free University (Brussels, Belgium), University of Siena (Italy), University of Southampton (UK), and the University of Adelaide (Australia). He was a past chair of the World Health Organization (WHO) steering committee for infertility guidelines.
His major research interests include the pathophysiology of human ovarian function (including PCOS, and POI), ovarian stimulation, IVF and women’s health (including contraception, menopause and healthy aging). He has published close to 500 peer-reviewed articles (Hirsch factor > 100), is one of the most cited authors in reproductive medicine and his work has been widely covered in the national and international lay press.
