Kathryn Go Ph.D., HCLD
Dr. Go earned her doctoral degree in molecular biology from the University of Pennsylvania has been a laboratory director and practicing embryologist for more than 35 years. Dr. Go is the Director of the IVF Laboratory at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is also a consultant and Managing Director of Embryology at TMRW Life Sciences. Dr. Go was, for 21 years, the Laboratory Director at Pennsylvania Reproductive Associates, and then Scientific and Laboratory Director at IVF New England, Laboratory Director at Boston IVF- the Maine Center and ReproSource Fertility Diagnostics.
Dr. Go was on the faculties of the medical schools of the University of Pennsylvania, Thomas Jefferson Medical University, and the University of Massachusetts, and has also taught at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and the Experimental College of Tufts University. She has served on the executive council of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology and was chair of the Reproductive Biology Professional group of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. She is also past President of the New England Fertility Society (NEFS) and currently serves as its Vice-President.
Kirsty Crompton
Kirsty brings nearly two decades of experience within the fertility industry, having a managerial position within Vitrolife for the last 10 years and prior to this she was on the board of directors for RIUK (sister company to Research Instruments LTD). Kirsty earned her MBA in 2016.
Mitch Schiewe Ph.D., HCLD
Dr. Schiewe is a Comparative Reproductive Physiologist who has been applying ART to Animal models and Conservation Biology since the early 1980’s with over 75 published papers/book chapters and 150+ abstract presentation. He received his BS at UC Davis, a MS from LSU working with Robert Godke and the Repro Rangers. He attained his PhD at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in conjunction with the National Zoo & NIH with David Wildt. His emphasis has been on applied aspects of Embryology, as well as sperm and embryo cryopreservation which included the first vitrified sheep in 1988. He matriculated into Human ART in 1992 as an Asst. Professor at UC Irvine until 1995, a Guest Scientist at SIFT-Roma between 1994-2000 and an ART Lab Director at CFP, FSAC and his current Ovation Fertility/prior SCIRS Lab since 2007. Mitch was also the Founding Chairman of the SRBT Formation Committee in 2008-2009.
Tim Sharp
Tim was the former Global Director of Biorepositories for ICON Plc, where he was responsible for the management of specimens from Europe, U.S., and Asia to central labs with 300 clinical trials and volumes in the 10s of thousands specimens a day for top pharmas.
Before ICON, Tim was responsible for Biorepository Operations and the Cryopreservation laboratory at the ATCC, overseeing 27 million specimens used for manufacturing to certified reference material for biologicals for the world governments and private industries. Prior to ATCC, Tim managed the U.S.’s NIH NCI Central Repository, holding 18 million specimens for clinical and research applications.
Tim’s experience spans over 20 years in biobanking, biorepository, and diagnostic laboratory operations. He holds memberships and serves on committees developing global standards in ISO, ISBER, AATB, and the Society of Cryobiology. Tim holds degrees in biochemistry and molecular biology with advance studies in polymer and electro chemistry.
